Srsly, how intensely cool is Georgetown? The vintage cars here are the best in TX. How many people get to walk around their downtown and wonder what decade they’ve just entered?

There’s no beating this view. Besides the electric crews, who else gets to see all the Texas wildflowers like this?

Today in Georgetown, TX, the EAA was flying their B-17 out of the local airport. I just happened to see it as I was out trying to get some landscapes, but this looked way more interesting. This is a shot of the propeller on engine #1 I believe.
You can see more of their beautiful plane at their website.

I had to cross a swift moving section of the San Gabriel River, Georgetown, TX to a sand/rock shoal in the center of the river. At the swiftest point of the cross (about up to my thighs), I began to quickly realize that this wasn’t such a great idea. I had my tripod under my left arm and my 5D held up high in the air with my right hand. Crossing back was just as hard, especially since it was dark.
